Julia graduated from the Midwifery Education Program at Ryerson University in 2020 after completing her senior year at East York Don Mills Midwives in Toronto. She is honored to be able to work alongside Thames Valley midwives and clients.
Originally from Romania, Julia moved to Canada with her family in 2008. She graduated with an Engineering degree from University of Toronto. She worked as a traffic safety engineer and project manager, within Canada and abroad. During this time, she explored her own family history, and became deeply passionate about reproductive rights and providing people with the care everybody deserves. Taking a leap of faith, she joined the midwifery program at Ryerson in 2015, and has enjoyed midwifery ever since then. During the program, she had both her kids caught by midwives. She has been involved with research on multiple subjects, including probiotics effectiveness on GBS colonization rates.
In her free time Julia enjoys reading, hiking, camping and travelling. Julia has a cat, two kids and a partner that occupy most of her free time. She’s looking forward to being a part of our pregnancy journey.
