Jackie joined the Thames Valley Midwives team in 2008.
Originally from the Oxford County area, Jackie moved to England in 2001 to obtain her midwifery qualification at the Nottingham University. Follow her training she remained in the UK for another three and a half years, providing midwifery care for low and high risk families and their babies at a busy Tertiary Care Birth Unit. Prior to commencing her career in London, ON, she spent three months volunteering at a rural maternity hospital in D.R. Congo.
In April of 2008, Jackie completed the International midwifery Pre-registration Program through Ryerson University in Toronto. As part of the course requirement, she worked for three months with a midwifery practice based in Guelph.
Jackie has cared for many clients and newborn babies in a wide variety of settings with a wide range of needs. She enjoys attending both home and hospital births. She is passionate about supporting clients and their families throughout their journey from pregnancy into parenthood.
Jackie had the privilege of experiencing midwifery care as a client during her own two pregnancies and fabulous home births in 2013 and 2015. Jackie offers prenatal and childbirth education classes through Belly Love Pregnancy and Childbirth Education here at Thames Valley Midwives.
